Junior Daniel O'Brien Places 12th in National Championship

Our Virginia Episcopal School community could not be more proud of junior Daniel O'Brien for his accomplishments this weekend at the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship in San Diego. On Saturday, Daniel crossed the finish line in 12th place with a time of 15:45.9—a sensational feat! Consider these other stats: Daniel was the only runner from Virginia to qualify for Nationals. He was the fifth underclassman to cross the line, representing only a handful of juniors who made the cut. Only the top 15 finishers earn All-American status—Daniel was named a third team All-American. Dr. Peter O'Brien shared: "What an incredible experience! The support from the people back home meant a lot to Daniel and our family, making it even more special to represent VES, his friends, teammates, and all the folks who helped him along the way."
