Girls XC Place 2nd in BRC; Daniel O'Brien '20 Wins Boys Championship

Our Virginia Episcopal School XC team had a strong showing in the conference tournament. Daniel O’Brien ’20—among the top sophomore runners in the state—won the boys Individual Championship for the second straight year.

The VES girls cross country team placed second in the BRC Championships this past weekend! Ann Claire Terrell ’21 and Tayloe Hunter ’18 earned All-Conference honors by finishing third and eighth, respectively. In addition Helen Ma ’20, Gillian Gondi ’18, Kate O’Brien ’18, Elizabeth Brown ’20 and Lillian Pang ’21 held together through the late stages of the race to seal the runner-up position against several talented teams.
A young VES boys varsity squad, composed of mostly freshmen and sophomores, were squeezed out to fourth place out of eight VIC teams. Only 12 points separated them from a runner-up place.
