Parent/Teacher & Parent/Advisor Conferences

Conferences during Fall Family Weekend are a great time to hear teachers’ insights about your student’s work in their classes and receive feedback about their progress thus far. To get an overview of your child’s progress across their academic, co-curricular, and social/ residential experience, schedule a conference with his/her advisor. During the weekend, Faculty and Staff will also be present and available at meals, athletic games and events for casual conversations about your student.

Student attendance during conferences is optional. We’ll let you decide if the conversation would be most valuable with or without your student’s input during the conference.

How to Select Your Conferences
After you have registered for Fall Family Weekend from this page, login to ves.org and go to your Resource Board and click on the button labeled "Schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences" to select your times.

Join Us at the Parents Council Auction

Friday, October 12
5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in Hight Library

Mark your calendar for this evening of fun, silent auction, spirits and hors d’oeuvres! It is a great evening that kicks off our Fall Family Weekend at VES—a perfect time for day and boarding parents to get together with our faculty and staff and visit while bidding on fabulous items to raise money for our school.

Bid on fabulous items, from trips, to beautiful artwork, reserved graduation parking, parties, perks for the students, tickets to ACC football games and baskets filled with all types of goodies and services, just to name a few!  We will also have a 50/50 raffle and you don’t have to be present to win.

Where does this money go? With proceeds from the Auction, the Parents Council is able to provide funding to enhance the student and faculty experience at VES. We support the priority needs identified by the school, including classroom renovations, essential teaching tools and equipment, and faculty housing improvements.

Donate an Auction Item
If you would like to donate an item, service, trip or vacation home, we would love to set that up for you. All donations are tax deductible and there is no item too big or small! Follow this link to enter your item or you can contact us directly. We will be happy to take care of the details.
