Admissions Counselor

Virginia Episcopal School seeks to fill the full-time position of Admissions Counselor. This position also participates in student enrollment efforts by communicating with prospective students and their parents, coordinating campus visits/tours and interviews, and attending on- and off-campus VES-sponsored events. In addition, this position may be asked to coach a sport, lead an afternoon activity, or support the residential life program as a member of a dorm duty team.

Duties of this position include but not limited to:
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to a variety of VES “customers,” including prospective and current students and their families, faculty, staff, alumni, visitors and vendors.
  • Providing clerical and administrative support, assisting with data entry and creating inquiries, coordinating campus visits and interviews, and supporting Admissions communication flow and mailings.
  • Collect academic, personal, and financial information and process enrollment applications.
  • Counsel prospective students, parents, and consultants regarding admissions policies and decisions regarding potential placement.
  • Evaluate prospective students’ application materials, select students for enrollment as part of the Admissions Committee, and secure contracts from the parents/guardians of accepted students.
