Head Coach, Boys Lacrosse

Virginia Episcopal School seeks to fill the position of Head Coach Boys Lacrosse. This position is responsible for supporting the school’s mission in the boys lacrosse program and directing all aspects of Varsity and Junior Varsity Lacrosse. The individual will work closely with the Athletic Director to support the needs of this program. In addition, the candidate hired may take on responsibilities outside of coaching, including supporting the admissions program, development, teaching and student life.

Essential Duties:
  • Create and implement clear standards and expectations of both coaches and players within the boys lacrosse programed aligned with and supportive of VES’s expectations of coaches and players
  • Implement individual off-season and in-season skill development, including strength and conditioning
  • Run winter lacrosse training 
  • Work closely with the assistant coaches on practice planning and execution and game preparation
  • Oversee and develop game schedule for the program in conjunction with the Athletic Director
  • Ensure compliance with Conference, VISAA and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Work closely with the Admissions office regarding student admissions
  • Represent the boys lacrosse program at functions and events as necessary
  • Participate in VES public relations activities, including website content development and updates, social media, interviews and speaking engagements, working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications
