Weekly Athletics Report: January 24 - 30

It has been another busy week for our student-athletes, as the winter sports season is in full swing. Go Bishops! 

Sports Scores for the Week: 

  • Wrestling competed against Roanoke Catholic and Hargrave. VESLost to Roanoke 24-42. However, Fletcher Vaughan recorded his first win as a Bishop wrestler against Roanoke. VES won the second meet against Hargrave Military Academy 36-30. The Bishops got huge wins from Channing Jackson, Fletcher Vaughan, Christian Anderson, and Jere Hatchard. However, one win almost tore the roof off of Barskdale Gym. Sanders Morris' come-from-behind win by pin helped push the Bishops to victory, as a team, over Hargrave.
