Students Participate in Model UN Conference

A group of nine students recently spent three days in Norfolk, Virginia at Old Dominion University attending ODUMUNC 47, a model United Nations conference. This was VES' second year attending the conference at ODU. Students participated in committees for the General Assembly, the Organization of American States, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, the Russian Civil War, and the Economic and Social Council representing Argentina, Angola, and Nikolai Bukharin. Our MUN veterans included Rosemary LeBlanc, Lucy Stark, Katherine Bray, Luke Huryk, Weston Richards, and Eric Ou along with new students Ellie Harris, Sara Lowe, and Zeb Rhinehart. VES is planning to attend a second conference at Duke University April 5-7.
