WILLIAM O. “TUCK” TUCKER III 1979

(August 20, 1961 - December 21, 2020)

Many of us were delighted to see the surprise appearance of SpongeBob Square Pants during Paramount’s Super Bowl LV spot.

It is with much sorrow that the Board of Trustees, alumni, students, and staff of Virginia Episcopal School note the December passing of its distinguished alumnus, Tuck Tucker, Class of 1979, who served as a writer, artist, and director of the award-winning animation series “SpongeBob SquarePants” and as a writer, artist, and director who worked with Pixar, Filmation, Walt Disney, and Nickelodeon Studios.
