Over the course of the last two weeks, 29 VES student-athletes have been honored by The News & Advance as part of the Lynchburg newspaper's "All-Area" high school sports series. Four of our student-athletes earned recognition as "The News & Advance All-Area Player of the Year" for their respective sport, including Caroline Carrington '23 for Girls Lacrosse, Sierra Lewis '23 for Girls Lacrosse, Kaitlyn Bauer '23 for Girls Swimming, and Blair Gill '25 for Girls Tennis. Additionally, four of our coaches earned the honor of being named "The News & Advance Coach of the Year" for their respective sport, including Coach David Eubank for Golf, Coach Maddy Hooper for Girls Lacrosse, Coach Kevin Gates for Boys Lacrosse, and Coach Beth Bright for Girls Swimming. Congratulations to our fantastic coaches and talented athletes for earning this special recognition!
