Students Run for a Cause

This was a weekend full of altruism and running – as VES was involved with both the Jag Color Jog and the Love Your Neighbor Run. 27 VES students, faculty and friends joined together for the 1st Love Your Neighbor 5K Charity Run at Peaks View Park. The charity run was organized by the Park View Community Missions – an organization VES has been involved with through the Food for Thought program that provides food over the weekend to children and families in need. Our students ran impressively and we were proud to see such support for a fantastic movement! The Jag Color Jog is a fundraiser for Linkhorne Middle School, students run a 2 mile course around the school’s campus and get showered in color as the run. This year’s run brought in $14K to help fund academic programs, the arts, and athletics at Linkhorne Middle School – and resulted in some very blue clothing!
