More Than 270 Join Us For Homecoming & Fall Family Weekend
As the weather in Lynchburg cooled signaling a change of seasons, VES welcomed more than 270 families, alumni and friends for a busy Homecoming & Fall Family Weekend. The crowds cheered the Bishops on in a full slate of athletic events and students had fun at their Homecoming dance at Amazement Square science museum. Parents enjoyed informative Parent University sessions, mingling at a Waterstone Pizza gathering hosted by chef Jason Arbusto ’97, and an incredible evening of events that began with a conversation with nationally renowned chef, author and restaurateur Vivian Howard ’96—who was recognized with the VES Distinguished Alumnae award—followed by dinner and the Parents Auction. Everyone enjoyed time to deepen connections with students, friends, faculty and coaches.
Special thanks to the faculty, staff, coaches, alumni, parents and students who made these events possible. Our dynamic community makes VES such a great place for students to learn, grow and achieve success.
