English Class Hits Bishop Radio Airwaves to Review Short Stories

Rather than the standard classroom discussion or written reports of their readings, English teacher Brian Campbell looks for more engaging ways for his students to demonstrate their critical thinking skills. He challenges his students to lead a book review on live radio. His 10th grade English classes hit the Bishop Radio airwaves Sunday night to discuss their impressions of famous short stories. The students shared synopses of the stories, critiqued writing styles and character development, and noted their opinions about what challenged, disappointed or inspired them about the stories.
