Students Celebrate with End-of-Summer Carnival

As students entered the second weekend of the school year they were met with no shortage of weekend opportunities – hiking trips, board game nights and a trip to the farmers’ market – and on Saturday the entire school gathered for the End-of-Summer Carnival, an annual opening-of-school tradition at VES. Students gave summer the send-off it deserves, the huge carnival featured a dunk tank, bouncy houses, lawn games, and their favorite carnival foods—popcorn, cotton candy, Mama Crockett’s cider donuts and icees. When the carnival was done everyone watched an outdoor movie on Box Plaza, giving students time to enjoy the weather and rejuvenate over the weekend.
