Varsity Girls Lacrosse Crowned BRC Conference Champions

VES varsity girls lacrosse dominated the BRC Conference and were crowned conference champions with their 17-6 win against Fuqua School at home on Saturday. Senior Ellie Tate Schutte continued to lead the team, playing phenomenally on the attack as well as on defense––and hustling until the final whistle. Holly Koudelka ‘21 led the team in scoring with six goals while Megan McGrath ‘19 led with six assists. Sophomore Ann Claire Terrell had six draw controls for the day, helping the Bishops to maintain possession. Sophomore goalie Lucy Catherine Olmert recorded 11 saves for the day. The Bishops also earned a number of all-conference recognition. Ann Claire, Holly, Margaret Sprunt ‘20 and Janiera Carr ‘20 received All-Conference Honorable Mention. Lucy Catherine, Megan and Ellie Tate received First-Team All-Conference. Ellie Tate was also named the BRC All-Conference Player of the Year.
