At VES Artistry and Food Collide

Chef Rick Bayless once said, “Great food, like art, enhances and reflects a community.” Last week, art and food collided in Harrison Dining Hall as Ms. Thompson’s ceramics class put their sgraffito-designed sushi sets to the test. Collaborating with our food service team from Meriwether Godsey, students learned to create their own sushi rolls and then enjoyed eating from their hand-crafted sushi sets––plates, soy sauce cups and chopstick holders.
