Alum Spotlight: "A Grand Vision" Art Show in Hickory, NC

The Hickory Museum of Art is pleased to present "A Grand Vision: Elliott Daingerfield Paints Grandfather Mountain and the Grand Canyon." On opening night—Sunday, December 9—alumnus Joe Dulaney ’56 from Blowing Rock will talk about growing up with his grandfather, the renowned North Carolina artist Elliott Dangerfield (1859 – 1932). Many of Dangerfields’ best works will be on display, celebrating his passion for the “natural grandeur of the North Carolina Mountains.” Joe is excited about the opportunity to greet fellow Bishops and share his grandfather’s work. Landon Lane ’68, who was instrumental in bringing the exhibit to the museum, will also be a part of the event. Preview the artwork: http://hickoryart.org/a-grand-vision-artwork-sponsorship/
