In this workshop, our highly sought-out college counseling team of Mimi Csatlos, Amy Koudelka and Elizabeth Blaum will help guide rising seniors through the process of completing their college applications, including all parts of the Common App® and the Coalition for College Application®. As you likely know, the college application process is time-consuming, and it’s often difficult to find focused time to work on it once school is back in session. So, eliminate the stress and anxiety and complete your applications before you go back to school!
Basketball Summer Camp (brought to you by Hill City Basketball Academy)

VES Summer Basketball Camp is for boys ages 12-14 who are interested in learning the fundamental basketball skills and demonstrating hard work ethic. All drills are specifically designed for skill development. We want our players to learn the game the right way and to have lots of fun while doing it.
Coach Sedlar is in his sixth year at VES where he is currently Director of Basketball Programs and Head Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Sedlar has more than 10 years of coaching experience and has run multiple programs in Virginia and New York. Coach Sedlar was named 2014 Coach of the Year in VISAA.
The VES Sports Camp provides basic instruction, supervised recreation, and fellowship in sports and games for boys and girls ages 7-13. In all that we do, the emphasis is always on the development of positive, healthy sportsmanship and competitiveness in a fun and spirited fashion.
Campers are grouped by age (7-8, 9-10, 11-13) to ensure the best experience for participation and learning. Campers receive daily instruction in the fundamentals of basketball, soccer, lacrosse and track. In addition, there is time each day for instruction in tennis for interested campers. Intra-camp competition within these sports, as well as various contests and sports related games, are part of each week’s activities.
An elite skill, speed, strength and mentality clinic The Next Project is more than just a camp, it's a week-long basketball experience. Working daily alongside world-renowned skill development trainer, Damin Altizer, athletes will discover intricate training methodologies for hard-wiring their skill sets for on court success. Athletes will also have the incredible opportunity to work with a renowned strength trainer, nutritionist as well as hearing lectures on NCAA eligibility and the recruiting process.

The VES Girls SoccerCamp is designed to develop individual skills, general athleticism, and knowledge of the game. Regardless of your child’ssoccerbackground, VESSoccerCamp will emphasize sportsmanship and fun.
Instructor: Coach Will Rhem teaches English and Spanish and serves as the Director of Global Studies at Virginia Episcopal School, and he coaches the Varsity Girls Soccer team. Coach Rhem has coached boys and girls soccer at the high school varsity level for almost 20 years at schools in Georgia, Texas, Maine, and Virginia. Coach Rhem played soccer at Wofford College for two seasons and he possesses a “D” United States Soccer Federation (USSF) coaching license.

The VES BoysSoccerCamp is for boys ages 10-13 who are looking to progress theirsoccerskills to the next level. All drills and activities are designed to improve players technical and tactical abilities. The camp will strike a balance between hard work and fun by using activities and competitions that are both enjoyable but instructional.
Instructor:Coach Huryk is returning to VES after ten years. In the fall of 2019, he will take over as Head BoysSoccerCoach. Since leaving VES, he has coached at both the High School and College levels with great success. In 2017 he helped guide the Drew University Men’sSoccerProgram to the “Sweet 16” of the NCAA Tournament and an undefeated regular season.

Join NFL alumnus, Super Bowl champion and former UVA long-snapper Danny Aiken for a fun-filled skills and drills camp. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the game on the defensive and offensive side of the ball. Learn how to play the game safely and controlled, while competing with your peers!

VES head girls lacrosse coach Justine Button will lead this dynamic and fun day camp for girls entering 2nd through 8th grades in the 2019/20 school year.Coach Button will lead the camp along with other VES coaches and members of the varsity team. Campers will work on stick work, shooting, dodging, fast breaks, defense, offense, and small game play.
What to Bring Goggles, Stick, Mouth Guard, Snack, Water Bottle and Bathing Suit/Towel (for an end-of-day cool down in the pool)

Come spend a week learning and playing The Creator’s Game. Participants will learn the fundamental skills of lacrosse and be able to apply this knowledge in game situations throughout this fun-filled camp. Campers are grouped, depending on age and skill level, to ensure the best experience for participation and learning.

The VESvolleyballcamp provides young athletes with a variety of opportunities to advance in their fundamentalvolleyballskills. Interested players will be grouped by both age, and skill level, in order to best fulfill their needs and individualized goals. Multiple courts are available in Van Every Field House so all campers will have the chance to face opposition aligning with their skill level. All players will have the opportunity to work 1:1 with coaches, all with knowledge of the game and a variety ofvolleyballlevels coached.

Spoleto Study Abroad Offers Immersive Experience in the Arts and Humanities

SUMMER LANGUAGE IMMERSION EXPERIENCES
This past summer, VES students studied abroad in Spain and China, developing their language skills and having transformative experiences that promoted independence, maturation and a global mindset.
