Spring Family Weekend

We look forward to having our parents, grandparents, and siblings join us Friday, April 26 – Sunday, April 28 for Spring Family Weekend!

This special weekend will give you the opportunity to spend quality time with your students on and off campus, as well as interact with faculty and staff and socialize with other parents and grandparents from the VES community!

Our weekend begins at 12:30 p.m. Friday with a Welcome from Head of School, Garth Ainslie and a Performing Arts concert. The afternoon continues with parent/teacher conferences, a College Counseling session, and athletic contests.  The evening will end with a cocktail social for Parents at the Head of School House.

Saturday offers additional slots for parent/teacher conferences, plus more athletic events. All are invited to join us for lunch in Harrison Dining Hall.

On Sunday we will gather for Morning Prayer in Langhorne Memorial Chapel, followed by brunch in Harrison Dining Hall.

Please note, parent/teacher conference registration for VES Spring Family Weekend is now available. Please follow the below instructions when registering for parent/teacher conferences:

  • Login to OnCampus

  • On the RESOURCE board, locate the tile labeled “Schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences.”

  • You will see the list of teachers your student or students has a class with. Each colored square represents an available meeting time. The legend shows you which teacher corresponds to which color, and the times increase as you go down the page. (Note: you will not see all of the teachers listed, just the set of teachers that your children have classes with.) Click on a square to book that time.

  • You will optionally have the choice of setting a time when you would like a reminder email delivered.

  • Click "Create Appointment".

    • At any time you can click on "printable schedule" and print the resulting web page to get a hard copy of your schedule. You will also have the option to email your schedule to yourself.

    • If you want to make changes to your schedule, you can log in to OnCampus to access the scheduler.

    • Click on “ Your Schedule” to display and hide your appointments. There will be links to change the time or cancel the appointment.

    • Please Note: if you would like to make an appointment with a teacher that your child does not have a class with you will need to contact the teacher directly.
