Come spend a week learning and playing The Creator's Game. Over the course of this 5-day camp, participants will learn the fundamental skills of lacrosse and be able to apply this knowledge in game situations. Campers are grouped depending on age and skill level to ensure the best experience for participation and learning. 

CAMP INSTRUCTOR

Coach Kevin Gates has more than 30 years of coaching experience at the college and high school levels. He was an Assistant Coach at 12-time Division III National Champion Salisbury University and the Division I University of Notre Dame. As a Head Coach, he started two brand new college lacrosse programs at Shenandoah University and SUNY Delhi, where his last team there finished 6th in the country and he was named 2002 National Junior College Coach of the Year  Gates also has served as High School Coach and a PE teacher for Pre-K through Grade 12 students at a day school near Ocean City, Maryland, and now coaches the varsity boys lacrosse team at Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Coach Gates will be assisted by Assistant Coach Kevin Rainey, who is in his second year at VES after playing lacrosse much of his life, including four years of college lacrosse at Susquehanna University. Current VES lacrosse players will also join the coaches in supporting clinic activities.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Campers will need a lacrosse stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads, NOCSAE chest protector, protective cup, cleats, water bottles, lunch, bathing suit and towel. Goalies also must bring throat protector.
