Student Billing Coordinator | Business Office

Virginia Episcopal School seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as Reporting to the Director of Business Affairs, the Student Billing Coordinator performs all informational and record-keeping duties necessary to oversee the student billing and accounts receivable processes. The coordinator reviews, approves and posts cash receipts submitted for deposit into bank accounts and coordinates the daily bank deposits. This position also is responsible for the accurate maintenance of the “Student Bank” for boarders and the control of student cash as directed by parents/guardians.

A high-level list of duties includes:
  • Maintaining and controlling the student billing system
  • Managing student accounts receivable and collection as necessary
  • Serving as the liaison for tuition refund insurance and student health insurance policies
  • Maintaining the student bank for boarders and corresponding records
  • Processing cash receipts for multiple areas of the business, including Development and student activities and processing meal money for sports teams' travel
  • General office duties

Head Coach, Girls Basketball Program

Virginia Episcopal School seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as Head Coach of our girls basketball program, including both the JV and varsity teams. Virginia Episcopal School offers both varsity and JV basketball. The VES varsity girls basketball program has been consistently ranked among the top teams in the state. In 2014 the varsity team won the VISAA DIII State Championship. In addition, several players have continued their careers at the collegiate level.

The individual in this role should have a genuine passion for working with high school students. S/he should have a track record of establishing outstanding rapport with students, excellent communication skills, and energy and enthusiasm for the student-athlete experience. The Head Coach for Girls Basketball is responsible for supporting the school’s mission for both varsity and JV girls basketball. He/she will work closely with the Director of Basketball Programs to execute the strategic plan and support all coaches in the program.
A Sampling of the Duties Includes:
  • Implement the long-term strategic vision and plan for comprehensive excellence in the girls basketball program, as well as clear standards and expectations of coaches and players within the program.
  • Conduct individual in-season skill development program, including strength and conditioning.
  • Develop practice plans and game schedules during the regular season. 
  • Ensure compliance with conference, VISAA and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Work with the Director of Basketball Programs and the Admissions office regarding student admissions.
  • Provide support for college recruiting with assistance from the Director of Basketball Programs.
  • Meet with academic faculty and advisors on a regular basis to ensure student-athletes are attaining satisfactory progress in all aspects of the school. 
  • Represent the basketball program at VES functions and events.
  • Demonstrate integrity and character, as well as understand and abide by the rules and policies of VES and all governing bodies.
