College Application Bootcamp

Join Us in August to Get a Head Start on Your College Applications

Open only to members of the VES Class of 2022

Before your senior year begins, get a head start on your college applications with the support and guidance of the VES college counselors! We will provide the space, structure, and oversight to help you progress through the following in our 15+ hours together:

  • Complete the Common Application™ in its entirety.
  • Have a complete draft of your main college essay.
  • Begin organizing and brainstorming for the additional essay prompts you will need to complete given your college list; some students even complete drafts of supplemental essays during our time together!
  • Get answers to the questions you may have regarding your college admissions process in the months ahead.

Further, during evenings all throughout the week, Ms. Csatlos and Mrs. Koudelka will be available to give you feedback on your writings and answer additional questions that may arise. They also will offer additional afternoon help hours at least twice during the week, if requested.

Students should not feel as though they will be “behind” if they are unable to attend this camp. We will provide all the help you need once the school year begins, and we also can connect with you over the summer to help get you going! This is simply an opportunity to get the bulk of your college application work done during a single week in the summer.
