Chapel

Langhorne Memorial Chapel stands prominently on our campus as the center of our VES community. We are an Episcopal school, yet we enthusiastically embrace a variety of religious faith traditions among students, faculty and staff. We encourage active student and faculty participation in the planning and celebration of these services. Our superior choral and instrumental music ensembles enhance the quality of worship, and students and faculty participate as acolytes or readers. In our chapel the school community celebrates the traditional church holidays as well as important VES traditional services such as the Festival of Lessons and Carols, Confirmation, and Senior Eucharist on Graduation Day.

All students and faculty attend Eucharist or Morning Prayer services on Wednesday mornings, and boarding students attend chapel services on Sunday evenings. On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, the entire school community meets for prayer and daily announcements.

VES attempts to offer a Chapel program which will inspire, instruct and bind all the members of our family together in the quest to know God.
