Science In your science classes at VES, you'll have the opportunity to launch a potato out of a cannon. Really! The potato-launching experiment is just one that you'll conduct in physics class to measure velocity, gas expansion rates, and the amount of physical work involved in pushing potatoes down a tube. Much of what you'll learn in your science classes revolves around hands-on experience. That's why each of the sciences has its own dedicated lab stocked with computers for analyzing data and equipment for experiments. And since most classes have fewer than 15 students, you'll be sure to have enough time to use our labs for projects in all your classes -- be it physics, biology, chemistry, or environmental science. Overall, you will take 2 and 1/3 credits' worth of science and technology by the time you graduate -- two science credits, including Biology and either Chemistry or Physics, and 1/3 computer credit. |
